Short tennis is played indoors on a badminton court with a soft ball and small rackets, but with similar rules to traditional tennis.
Although the uninitiated may think of this as “kiddies tennis” it is a game of skill, with some players able to spin the ball and make it swerve through the air. Normally played as doubles it provides plenty of exercise with the bonus of all year playing time in the dry and warm!
You don’t need previous experience or have to played tennis as other members will be happy to help you to learn the game.
Friday sessions will commence from Friday 8th November and there will be two courts (nearest studio 2) available initially at a cost of £2.50 per person for the two hours from 10.00 to 12.00. The £2.50 is payable at Reception and there will be no club charge for this session. If this group proves popular then there will be the opportunity to utilise more courts.
